Radiologists use diagnostic imaging to see inside your body to help your doctor understand and diagnose injuries, chronic conditions, and the development and progression of diseases, such as cancer. These technologies include X-ray, MRI, PET/CT, and ultrasound.
Real-time images and minimally invasive tools are also used to perform procedures with only small incisions, called interventional radiology. The real-time images of blood vessels, organs, and tumors allow simultaneous diagnosis and treatment with exceptional precision, lessening recovery time and risk of complication.
